In Enemies, A Love Story, director Paul Mazursky tells a complicated story. Herman Broder is a man who survived the Holocaust. During the war, he hid in a barn with the help of his maid, who is now his wife. Herman pretends to be a traveling salesman to hide his relationship with another woman, but in reality, he works as a ghostwriter for a corrupt rabbi. To complicate matters, a woman reappears who had been his wife before the war. Her name is Tamara.
Lena Olin plays Herman’s sexy lover and she gives us a couple of very interesting sex scenes. Anjelica Huston doesn’t undress, but her turgid nipples under her dressing gown excite us tremendously.
