Zulawski is perhaps one of the most excessive Polish filmmakers. To understand the movie Amour braque, you must imagine an ’80s gangsters version of The Idiot by Dostoevkij and you can understand why that’s not the right movie for a beer and popcorn night. Absurd dialogues and a very complex story, but there are a lot of Sophie Marceau and Christiane Jean full-frontal nudes. Amazing.
